The Australian Ballet’s 2015 Giselle

I was very lucky this year to see the Australian Ballet’s Giselle in Melbourne and Adelaide.

I found this ballet absolutely wonderful.  The setting and costumes in the first act are delightful and the second act is divinely ethereal.

I had a ticket of the open night in Adelaide and saw Madeline Eastoe perform as Giselle.  I discovered in the weeks leading up to this performance that Eastoe was planning her final farewell performance of her career on the closing night of Giselle in Adelaide.

After watching the open night performance I was lucky enough to buy a nice stalls ticket for the final performance and experienced Eastoe’s final performance.

I thought she was a wonderful Giselle.
